Sound Masters: Do the Right Thing

To start off Black History Month, we're celebrating Spike Lee’s 1989 masterpiece, Do The Right Thing. A major critical success, the film managed to perfectly capture the complex climate of racial tension not just at the time but, unfortunately, still persisting today.

Do the Right Thing would not only go on to make the coveted list of Roger Ebert’s favorite films, but in its first year eligible, it was preserved in the National Film Registry for its cultural and historical significance. Of course, this is just one of many iconic films Spike Lee has given us—and we hope to see many more in the future.
